把“洗衣服”翻译成“wash clothes”本身没错

而且含有冲洗的感觉
但欧美人确实比较少说wash clothes
而是用一个专门的短语：do the laundry
强调的是“用洗衣机洗衣服”
或者到“洗衣店洗衣服”
因为欧美比较发达
洗衣机早已家家普及
洗衣店也到处都是
他们可能早就忘了“手洗-wash”这回事
所以说到洗衣服
脱口而出的就是“do the laundry”
但是没有洗衣机的时候
说wash clothes也没啥问题
人家一样能听懂
还可以说 do the washing
手洗和机器洗衣服都通用~
对话示例：
A: Did you do the laundry?
B: Yes, I did.
02.洗碗≠wash the dishes
do the dishes 洗碗
dish: 盘子，碗，碟子
Since you cooked,
I’ll clear the table and do the dishes.
既然你做饭了，
那我就收拾桌子洗碗吧。
（clear the table 收拾桌子）
注意：
洗碗不用wash,
但 洗碗机的确是Dishwasher噢！
03.洗澡≠wash body
wash body表面上看没啥问题
洗身体嘛……
但是西方人并不这么说
一般用下面这两个：
take/have a shower 洗澡
shower [‘ʃaʊɚ] 淋浴
或者是
take/have a bath
bath [bɑːθ] 沐浴
I always have a shower
after getting up.
起床后我会洗个澡。
